Restaurant Review: On the Waterfront Restaurant

It was serendipity that led me to the On the Waterfront Restaurant in Sosua, DR. I had tried the buffet at one of the large all-inclusive resorts, but my partner Veronica, and I, found it gravely disappointing. One evening, at dinnertime, we ventured out of our resort and discovered On the Waterfront Restaurant.

I am so glad we did. In a word, On the Waterfront Restaurant gets 4 stars, stars which I don't give out easily.

The restaurant setting is beautiful, set along the rock cliffs overlooking the water, sunset and coastline, we enjoyed tremendous attentive service, a great menu selection, and the food was excellent. Their desserts and after dinner drinks were wonderful tableside productions.

Everything from atmosphere, presentation, taste, top shelf liquors, fabulous coffees, etc. was on par with what I would expect from a top notch resort.

We have fond memories of the long and wonderful nights we had at On the Waterfront Restaurant. I can't say enough about On the Waterfront Restaurant. It ranks in the top 5 restaurants I've dined at in the Dominican Republic.
